Just incase you don't know what we are about...

Designers Marketplace is a creative event organisation which now supports and helps to promote over 80 northern based creative businesses. Some of our events include:

INDIVIDUAL EXHIBITIONS // POP-UP SHOPS // PORTFOLIO SELL OFFS // LIVE ART & DESIGN COLLABORATIONS // INDUSTRIAL SEMINARS //
A REGULAR SPECIALISED ART & DESIGN MARKET

Showcasing some of the best raw talent from both emerging and established artists and designers in the north of England. The diverse collection of high quality and contemporary merchandise we showcase range from:

FASHION // ACCESSORIES // ART // PRINTS // TEXTILES // PHOTOGRAPHY // CERAMICS // HOME INTERIOR PRODUCTS & VINTAGE.

All products are bespoke hand-crafted pieces providing the perfect opportunity for the buyer to find that something different they are always looking for. Our regular market is currently held 3-4 times a year in Middlesbrough and attracts a large following from all over the country. Many of our clients now supply to boutiques and galleries in the region through making trade contacts at the events. Our regular market is a step up from your more commonly found 'craft and vintage' fair, and provides the oppourtunity for the higher end designer maker and artist to retail and promote their wares.

// BACKGROUND INFO //

Founder Helen Stevens formed the organisation to help build on the idea of an open support network and creative hub for regional artists and designers, independent of gallery and studio based groups and memberships.

Our events provide the opportunity to buy directly from the artists and designers themselves supporting local talent, it also allows creative people to network and build new relationships within the creative community.

Local art groups, societies and galleries are also invited along. The first hour of the event acts as a trade show where the vendors, press and regional businesses are offered the opportunity to network and view the fully stocked showcase of talent.
